I have to say, I like David Ortiz. Not because of his on the field heroics over the past five years (not that that hurts) but because he is a funny guy. He has a sense of humor. He somehow doesn't seem to take himself too seriously and is always getting those around him to laugh. And, yea, I like to laugh. Who doesn't? So I root for the guys like that.
That is why I (along with the entire front office) were really pulling for Big Papi to pull out of his slump. Last night he finally did it. Floodgates? I hope so.
